Alan Svoboda heads the key holding functions in Seven Energy Group, including M&A and international financing and leads Seven Energy International. Between 2004 and 2014, Alan served as the commercial, strategy and business development director at ČEZ, the Czech power generation incumbent. Under his leadership, ČEZ successfully transformed and expanded its commercial activities in both wholesale and retail markets throughout Europe, accelerated international expansion via targeted acquisitions, and built-up key holding functions such as strategy, investor relations, risk-management and national/EU regulatory compliance.
Michal Skalka leads Seven Commodities, the central trading unit. Between 2005 and 2016, Michal served as the head of trading in ČEZ Group. He turned ČEZ Group into a premier asset-backed commodity trader on the European market, helping ČEZ Group to significantly increase the value of assets in its portfolio. In addition, he served on committees of several important institutions, such as the Prague Energy Exchange Market’s committee, EFET’s Electricity committee and as a member of the Board of Directors of EFET.
Jan Žižka leads Seven Engineering, the central expert engineering unit. He played a vital role in modernization of the large portfolio of conventional assets operated by ČEZ in the Czech Republic and assisted ČEZ in the evaluation of power generation assets acquired by ČEZ during its expansion throughout Central and South-eastern Europe. Before leaving ČEZ he was member of Technical Advisory Board in VGB association 6 years. He has had various managerial roles in power industry in the Czech Republic in last 15 years (e.g. such as the head of coal and hydro plants maintenance at ČEZ Group, Manager of power plant in Poříčí and a member of the Board at power plant in Opatovice).
Petr Antoš has graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University (ČVUT) in Prague. He joined Pavel Tykač’s group in 2010, and now serves as the Chairman of Vršanská uhelná, Severní energetická and Coal Services. He heads the activities in the Czech Republic and will be responsible for the Czech operations, including talks on long-term contracts for coal supply, etc.
Vladimír Rouček has graduated from VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava. He has spent almost 50 years in the mineral extraction industry. Over time, his extensive knowledge and practical experience in the whole chain of coal mining, processing and use have elevated him to various managerial positions. He has spent many years in positions as a Deputy CEO for technology, and a chief strategic or production officer at coal mining companies. He currently serves as the Vice-Chairman and CEO of Vršanská uhelná, Severní energetická, and Coal Services.
Luboš Pavlas has graduated from the Czech Technical University (ČVUT) in Prague, majoring in the economics and management of the energy sector. In a post-grad programme at the university in Plzeň (the faculty was then called College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering) he focused on heat supply issues. He has spent his entire professional life in the energy sector, including various positions in Pražská teplárenská and, since 2005, as a ČEZ Group manager in Romania and Bulgaria. In 2010, he joined Pavel Tykač’s group; in 2013, he was appointed to the Board of Directors and as the CEO of the Chvaletice power station.
